The Human Resources Department (HR) of EMI was frequently contacted by UK and international staff seeking information and guidance on a variety of HR issues.
The volume and frequency of enquiries was not only high, but also highly repetitive, time consuming and disruptive to HR. HR wished to implement an intranet-based HR portal to include the following key areas – Policies, Procedures & Forms, Employee Benefits, Payroll, New Starter Help, Career Development, Vacancies, Activity Calendar and News.
Solution
A human resources system was specified and built to meet HR's requirements. We managed the delivery of the full solution from project initiation through to operations including defining the business requirements and technical specification; managing the graphical design, storyboarding and prototyping process; building and testing the website site; defining HR reporting requirements; ensured that Data Protection Act (DPA) requirements were met; ensuring successful launch and ongoing operations of website.
