European Business Manager

Business Challenge

A highly successful US based entreprenurial software company building and delivering Products and Systems & Data Integration tools for the Utilities Sector required an Interim European Manager with a high level of technical and business skills to support their entry into the European marketplace. Reporting directly to the CEO the business challenge was to deliver the following:

  • Manage delivery of large business critical IT Projects to key customers
  • Set up European business infrastructure
  • Set up and manage all Banking and Financal aspects
  • Resolve Taxation and VAT issues
  • Obtain work permits for US staff working in the UK
  • Hire and manage high quality technical staff
  • Ensure all Payment Milestones were met
  • Set up and Manage European Sales and Marketing efforts
  • Manage Bid process in Europe
  • Identify and set up European Business Partnerships as Marketing and Delivery Channels

Solution

The following was achieved in the role of European Interim Manager:

  • Successfully managed delivery of large business critical IT Projects to key customers
  • Set up European business infrastructure
  • Set up and managed all Banking and Financal affairs of the company 
  • Ensured no Taxation and VAT issues
  • Obtained work permits for US staff working in the UK. Supported US staff while working in Europe 
  • Hired and managed high quality technical staff to deliver projects
